Fibre is naturally contained in foods such as cereals, fruits and vegetables and can have a significant impact when it comes to shifting those extra pounds! To maximize this effect, don't hesitate to consume several fibre-rich foods throughout the day. To help you, here is a short list of foods to choose from: fruits, green vegetables, raw vegetables, wholemeal bread, cereals (muesli and oatmeal), dried vegetables (e.g. chickpeas) or rice. Be aware that even dark chocolate, with more than 70% cocoa, is rich in fibre, so enjoy it (two squares per day though - be reasonable)! By regularly consuming this selection of products rich in natural fibres, your brain will send a message to your stomach to say you're full! This means you can reduce the amount of food you eat and limit your daily calorific intake. Another advantage of fibres is that they can help you out if ever you find yourself a little constipated!
